Another beautiful day here on the top of the world at Vogelsang. We’ve started the sewer project this week. Last Thursday, we blasted the septic pit in preparation for the project. It was actually the third blast for the pit, and it needs at least one more to get it to size.
Jim Snyder ran the blast and I finally got to meet him, as I was one of the ones sent down to secure the area. He showed us the explosives set up, with the dynamite, det cord, and blasting caps. I’ve read a lot about these things, but this is the first time I’ve ever seen them used.
